Herc’s Sawmill
By the Mislinja River in the village of Tomaška vas stands Herčeva žaga, a former mill and sawmill that today serves as a beautifully preserved witness to everyday life at the beginning of the 20th century. At one time, as many as eight mills operated between Tomaška vas and Šmartno, all harnessing the power of the river.
Huda Luknja Cave
Huda Luknja, a hidden gem of the isolated karst landscape, is undoubtedly one of the major natural attractions of the Koroška region and the Šalek Valley. As one of the first Slovenian caves opened to visitors, it is a true treasure trove of natural and historical wonders. The cave lies right along the route of the “Štrekna” trail, where the path runs through a breathtaking gorge squeezed between the steep slopes of Tisnik and Pečovnik – a unique natural passage that invites travelers to stop and explore.
Pohorje
Pohorje is one of the best-preserved natural areas in Slovenia. This pre-Alpine mountain range lies in northeastern Slovenia and is mostly covered with coniferous forests. It stretches between the Drava River to the north and the Drava Plain to the south, reaching as far west as Dravograd and Slovenj Gradec, and extending eastward to Maribor.
Church of Sv. Jurij

Uršlja Gora (Mount St. Ursula)

Bukovje Manor
This Baroque manor in Bukovje near Dravograd is set in a picturesque landscape between the plain on the right bank of the Drava River and the forested slopes of Bukovje Hill, where the mysterious ruins of the Romanesque Pukštajn Castle lie hidden.
