Vista – Park with a View is a contemporary multi-purpose space by Lake Velenje that combines architectural boldness, cultural events, and natural beauty. It was designed by architect Rok Poles, who transformed a degraded area – a legacy of mining activity – into an attractive venue for various events.
The central feature of the park is a 14-meter-high viewing platform, rising above the main event stage, offering visitors panoramic views of Lake Velenje, the surrounding hills, and the town of Velenje.
The event area covers more than 46,000 m² and is equipped with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure suitable for concerts, festivals, fairs, educational events, and more. Many top musicians and bands have performed here, including Dino Merlin, Siddharta, Plavi Orkestar, Prljavo Kazalište, Dubioza Kolektiv, S.A.R.S., Senidah, Severina, Joker Out, Magnifico, DJ UMEK, and many others – firmly placing Vista on the map of the most prestigious concert venues in Slovenia.
Vista also features children’s playgrounds, sports courts for tennis and beach volleyball, and areas for cyclists, skaters, and rollerbladers. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, relax on the lawns, or visit Bar Vista, where they can admire the sunset over the lake with a top-quality coffee or a refreshing cocktail in hand.
