Day 1: Dravograd – Štrekna – Church of St. George – Slovenj Gradec
Start pedaling in Dravograd, where you join the Štrekna cycling route. Leave the main path at Herc sawmill, where you learn how grain was once milled, wood was sawn, and other traditional folk customs. Along the way, there is a stop at the Church of St. Jurij (George), considered one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in Koroška. Continue the route towards Upper Legen, where the day ends with a late lunch at a tourist farm known for homemade dishes made from locally grown ingredients. Accommodation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Cultural pulse of the town – finish with local flavors
After an excellent homemade breakfast, return to Slovenj Gradec, where you can visit the Gallery of Fine Arts or immerse yourself in the historical mysteries of the collections and exhibitions at the Koroška Regional Museum. A hint: visiting the birthplace of Hugo Wolf and sipping “Wolf’s coffee” will definitely not disappoint… nor will a visit to the Štirje Kovači Ensemble collection.
